Brewer Harris Projects invites applications for its August 2026 Artist Residency.

This month-long, self-directed residency provides dedicated studio space within an independent contemporary art gallery in downtown Syracuse, New York. Designed for one artist or a collective team seeking focused time to develop new work, advance ongoing projects, or experiment with new ideas, the residency offers a supportive environment for creating, building community, and sharing artistic practice with the public.

A materials stipend and exclusive access to the art gallery will be provided from August 1–29, 2026.

Artists working in all media are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

6. Statement of intent that outlines your goals and/or a proposed project (300 word maximum).

7. Samples of previous work. This can be submitted as a series of JPG’s (10- 15, limited to 5mb for each file) or as a single PDF (15 pages maximum). This can include images of paintings, photographs, drawings, video, computer renderings,  sketches, and/or other media. To submit video, please share a link to the video in a PDF document.

8. Please provide contact information for two references.
